Plane to Port Douglas

Port Douglas

sunny 27 °C

The plane from Hamilton island was a bit different. It had propellers! We hadn't been on a plane with propellers before so that was nice. When we arrived we went to get a hire car and drove to our apartment. The apartment was goodand it had an upstairst aswell as a kitchen, lounge, and a shower downstairs. Upstairs i got my own bedroom and a double bed!!!! There was another bedroom for Emily and Daisy with small single beds! There were two showers upstairs aswell as another bedroom with a double bed for Mum and Dad.

We got a full breakfast included everyday and I had loads everyday! We went in the pool everyday in our complex which was brilliant too.
We went to a rainforest called daintree and fed kangaroos and also cuddled a koala. We went to a place called mossman gorge where we swam in crystal clear freshwater after a long walk in the rainforest surrounding it. We went to the Great Barrier Reef again with a company called Poseidon. It was much better than the other trip and the corals were much more colourful and bright. We also saw alot more sealife than the other reefs.

We vistited an aborigional center where we watched a production about their culture. We learnt about their food, medicine, weapons, and musical instruments. We threw some boomerangs the correct way (which was very difficult!) and even got our face painted in the way of a member of a tribe!

We also ate alot of ice cream.

Hi trevdownunder, loving the blog. Looks like you all are having a great time. Tell mum I've tried to post a comment on her blog but don't think it has worked. I will continue to send emails instead, I can do that. Enjoy. Jenny, Steve and the boys. xx
